『ナショナリズム覚え書き』からの一文。オーウェルはこのエッセイの中で、nationalismとpatriotismの違いを明確にする。代表作、『１９８４』でも歴史の改竄というのは非常に大きなテーマである。hauntという単語のニュアンスにも気をつけながら、意味を考えて欲しい。
